Flamenco Venues in Barcelona

While much of the north lacks flamenco, Barcelona has a long history and offers several possibilities for shows.

Tablao de Carmen

Barcelona
More info / book at flamencotickets.com
Tablao de Carmen is one of the cities most successuful flamenco venues with a location in the Poble Espanyol. The name of the venue is from Carmen Amaya, who once performed for royalty in this same spot. The early weekend shows tend to fill up quickly at the Tablao de Carmen - I would recommend advance reservations of try the late show at 22:00.

Los Tarantos

Barcelona
More info / book at flamencotickets.com
Los Tarantos is a good place to go if you are on a budget, but the show is fairly short. With 3 shows per night and prices under 10 Euros its a good deal for students who tend to fill up the place. While there is no reserved seating you can get a drink and keep an eye on the performance from your own two feet.

El Patio Andaluz

Barcelona
More info / book at flamencotickets.com
El Patio Andaluz recreates the typical tablao from Andalucia, something like what you might see in Seville. There are two shows per night which you can watch with dinner, tapas or a drink. You can even opt for the show without a drink if you want to spend less!

El Palacio de Flamenco

Barcelona
More info / book at flamencotickets.com
With auditorium type seating and a lot of ticket options, el Palacio del Flamenco offers a little of everything. You can take in a "mini show" with dinner or an early or late show which is longer and can include a full dinner, tapas or just drinks. Shows are every night.

Castell Medieval

Tordera (Barcelona province)
More info / book at flamencotickets.com
This is not a simple flamenco show, but more of a medieval experience which ends with a flamenco show. Located about 40 minutes outside of Barcelona, you'll have to organize your own transportation to see knights battle on horseback, eat a whole roast chicken and move to the main room to conclude the evening with flamenco and Spanish dance!
